The hotel stands in the 16th arrondissement near Trocadéro. Its stone frontage, iron balconies and historic Baltimore lettering make a striking arrival, while the scale inside remains relatively intimate: the general manager described a 103-room hotel in a December 2025 interview.
Accommodation runs from 15 m² Classic rooms to suites with living space and named Eiffel Tower views. Some categories have private balconies, and the catalog includes connecting family arrangements. The size and view depend on the particular category, rather than the hotel's star rating.
Lordy’s Paris Club combines French cooking with an English club-house mood, with a separate cocktail-bar offer at LPC. A fitness room, room service and four meeting spaces make the hotel useful for both city breaks and smaller business gatherings.

The Paris Atlas · Beyond the booking
History & cultural connections
From a private residence to the Baltimore
Paul Lorin built the property in 1892 as a private residence, according to Historic Hotels Worldwide. The stone façade and wrought-iron balconies belong to the Haussmann-inspired architecture of late nineteenth-century Paris. In a 2025 interview, the hotel’s general manager credited Gustave Eiffel’s workshops with work on the ironwork and balconies; Historic Hotels Worldwide specifically attributes the interior stair balustrade to Eiffel.[1][2]
The residence became a hotel in the 1920s. Accor’s account says it took its name from an early guest, Lord Baltimore; the general manager dates the conversion to 1920 and describes this visitor as a businessman travelling between Paris, London and New York. The naming story is part of the hotel’s own history, rather than a separately documented biography of the guest.[3][2]
The general manager identifies 2008, when Pierre Esnée bought the property, as the start of its recent chapter. He dates the change to Sofitel Paris Baltimore to the end of 2017. Historic Hotels Worldwide describes an extensive renovation in that year, covering rooms, facilities and public spaces, followed by the hotel’s admission to its collection in 2018.[2][1]
The current dining spaces continue the hotel’s Anglo-French story. Lordy’s Paris Club pairs the idea of an English club with Parisian interiors and French cooking. The general manager’s 2025 account describes a transformation of the restaurant with Paris Society Consulting, while the present official site lists both Lordy’s restaurant and LPC cocktail bar. This is a contemporary interpretation of the Baltimore identity within the older building.[2][4]
