Hôtel Fouquet’s Paris occupies one of the most recognizable corners of the Champs-Élysées. The hotel entrance is on avenue George V, while the Fouquet’s brasserie puts breakfast, French cooking and terrace tables on the avenue. Inside, Joy offers a different setting around an interior garden.
Jacques Garcia designed the rooms and suites with pale tones, mahogany, textured leather and large upholstered headboards. View is an important part of the choice: Deluxe rooms look toward avenue George V or the Joy garden, while Prestige Champs-Élysées rooms face the avenue. Connecting Superior rooms provide an option for families who want separate bedrooms.
The hotel combines substantial indoor facilities with its central address. The spa has a heated 15-meter pool, a water circuit, a sauna and a hammam; a fitness space is also available. History & cultural connections
From a Champs-Élysées brasserie to a Palace hotel
Fouquet’s began as a restaurant on the Champs-Élysées in 1899. That brasserie remains the historical center of the address: its name, terrace and dining rooms give the hotel a connection to the avenue that predates the guest rooms. The current property brings the restaurant and hotel together at the corner of avenue George V.[1]
The hotel opened in 2006, according to Forbes Travel Guide, as an extension of the established restaurant. The restaurant was already more than a century old when the first hotel guests arrived.[2]
Jacques Garcia gave the guest rooms their recognizable decorative language: pale colors, mahogany, leather with a shagreen effect and oversized upholstered headboards. The combination carries the formal atmosphere of the public rooms into the accommodation. The current room collection extends from Superior doubles to large signature suites with separate areas for entertaining.[1]
Photography gives the property another specific cultural thread. Harcourt portraits of film stars decorate the dining setting, and the 200 m² Harcourt Paris Suite includes a photography studio and private terrace. These are visible parts of the hotel’s present design and service, connecting its cinema imagery to a space guests can book.[1]
