Hôtel Dame des Arts stands on rue Danton, close to the Seine and the Saint-Michel area. Its 109 rooms and suites occupy a 1950s building redesigned by Raphael Navot. Pale stone, rich wood, curved forms and individual artworks give the hotel a warm, contemporary character.
The main choice is between indoor space and a private terrace. Classic rooms measure 12–17 m²; Signature rooms are 19 m². A Signature Terrace room has 15 m² indoors, so paying for outdoor space does not necessarily buy a larger bedroom. Eiffel Tower views appear in separately named categories.
Pimpan serves seasonal French cooking, with a garden courtyard for meals away from the street. The rooftop bar offers a broad panorama of Paris. Hotel guests can request tables before reservations open to outside visitors, but should still reserve ahead.
There is a fitness studio and a sauna. In-room service covers drinks; the hotel directs guests downstairs for food. This hotel suits couples and visitors who value design, a central Left Bank address and an evening rooftop drink. Travelers with large suitcases or plans to spend long periods in their room should compare the larger categories carefully.

History & cultural connections
The history of Hôtel Dame des Arts
Hôtel Dame des Arts opened in 2023 at 4 rue Danton. Its building dates from the 1950s, giving the project a different starting point from the converted mansions found elsewhere on the Left Bank. The hotel commissioned Raphael Navot to transform the property into a contemporary address with 109 rooms and suites.[1]
Navot built the interiors around natural materials: oak, bamboo, brushed stone and glass. Curves and warm lighting soften the building’s more geometric structure. The result extends from the bedrooms and their bespoke furniture to the fitness studio, where a curved wooden ceiling makes a usually utilitarian room part of the design.[1][2]
Art forms another part of the hotel’s identity. Its opening design account describes more than 70 curated artworks throughout the property, many by artists connected with Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Individual rooms combine their own selection of works with design books and furniture made for the hotel, making the collection part of everyday use rather than a separate exhibition space.[1]
The restaurant entered a new phase in 2025 with the launch of Pimpan, led by chef Clément Courtemanche. Its seasonal French menu continues the hotel’s emphasis on contemporary work rooted in the Left Bank. Alongside the garden courtyard and rooftop bar, the restaurant gives the building public spaces that visitors can use without staying overnight.[1]
