Met · 1860
The Orangerie's account: they met in 1860, lost touch, and met again after 1908, when Clemenceau bought a property near Giverny. Clemenceau received the Armistice-day offer of the Water Lilies, pushed the donation to its 1922 contract, and pressed Monet through the cataract operations that let him finish.
