About Irving Stettner
Irving Stettner was a Brooklyn-born poet and visual artist who founded and edited Stroker, an independent little magazine publishing writers including Henry Miller, Lawrence Durrell and Paul Bowles.
Miller contributed to Stroker during his last years and addressed Stettner as his ‘Capricorn friend.’ Their 1978–80 correspondence was later gathered in From Your Capricorn Friend.
