History & cultural connections

Avenue Marceau and the hotel’s earlier identity

Grand Hôtel Champs-Élysées occupies a former Parisian townhouse on avenue Marceau. The hotel describes the building as a former Louis Vuitton workshop, without dating that use. Carved stonework, a projecting central bay and several levels of iron balconies remain visible on the facade.[1][2]

The avenue Marceau property previously operated as Radisson Blu Champs-Elysées. It now uses the Grand Hôtel Champs-Élysées name within Dokhan Luxury Hotels. The street address and La Place restaurant connect the earlier Radisson identity with the hotel operating today.[1][3][6]

The current interiors draw on Art Deco design. Superior rooms use that style directly, while Deluxe rooms combine black-and-white details with soft fabrics and curved furnishings. The hotel also displays an art collection, and the lounge bar includes a library and fireplace.[1][4][5][6]
