Rue de la Pompe station (line 9) and Victor Hugo station (line 2) are about 400 and 500 meters away in a straight line. The Eiffel Tower is about 1.2 kilometers away, across the Seine from the Trocadéro gardens. The hotel describes the area as residential.
The hotel has 38 rooms and 10 suites, and none sleeps more than two guests. Rooms measure 18 to 22 m² and suites about 40 to 42 m². The hotel says the rooms use oak, linen and black Zimbabwe granite.
Hokusaï, the restaurant, serves Japanese fusion food under the chef Chatmongkhon Duangdee. La Galerie, the bar and lounge, serves Mariage Frères teas and pastries by the fireplace, with live music on Thursday evenings. The heated indoor pool and a hammam are in the basement.

History & cultural connections
The history of Le Metropolitan
The building database of APUR, the Paris urban planning agency, dates the hotel's buildings to the period from 1851 to 1914. A 2007 city permit describes them as two street-front buildings, each with a ground floor, six upper floors and one or two basement levels. Place de Mexico was called the rond-point de Longchamp until 1957, when it was renamed after Mexico City because the Mexican embassy was nearby.[1][2][3]
A hotel was already operating at 86 rue de Longchamp, the building's older address, in March 1989, when the city approved changes to its façade. In 2006 and early 2007 it was the Hôtel Metropolitan, a three-star hotel with 56 rooms, two suites and a bar decorated like a gentleman's club. The company that published its website, Hôtel Metropolitan Paris, is the company named in the legal information for today's hotel.[2][4][5][6][7][12]
In 2007 and 2008 the city approved major works on the hotel. They included partial demolition of floors, load-bearing walls, a staircase and parts of the façades and roof, and a new swimming pool in the first basement. The interior designer François Champsaur redesigned the hotel, according to Radisson's 2009 website. The works replaced the entrance door at 86 rue de Longchamp with a fixed window, and in April 2026 the city approved, with conditions, a request to reopen it.[2][9]
By May 2009 the hotel had reopened as the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan Hotel, Paris Eiffel. Radisson's website called it brand new and listed 38 rooms and 10 suites, the count the hotel still gives. By June 2016 it was Le Metropolitan, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, a brand then owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts and now part of Marriott. Atout France, the national tourism agency, classified it as a five-star hotel on 1 March 2022.[9][10][11][13][12][15]
The hotel says its owners collect contemporary art for the building. In 2017 its website named photographs by Georges Rousse and lithographs by Tony Cragg, Miquel Barceló and Paul McCarthy. Marriott says the ground-floor Fireplace Room has original McCarthy prints.[8][14]
