About Hôtel Baume
Hôtel Baume is a 35-room hotel on rue Casimir Delavigne, near the Odéon. Its interiors revisit the 1930s through cinema, fashion, jewellery, architecture and club design, using rich fabrics and distinctive decorative details throughout the rooms.
The accommodation ranges from compact Classic rooms to suites with sitting areas. Views face either the hotel patio or the Odéon Theatre, while selected categories add a terrace or balcony. Choose the category carefully if outdoor space is part of the appeal.

From the Jardin de l’Odéon to an imagined 1930s hotel
Before it became Hôtel Baume, this address was the Hôtel Jardin de l’Odéon. The owners announced its complete transformation in March 2014: new interiors, a four-star identity and a new name. By the November inauguration, the hotel had become a carefully composed interpretation of the 1930s, created by interior designers Thibaut Fron and Thierry Martin.[1][2]
The name refers to the Austrian novelist Vicki Baum. Six imagined characters and themes drawn from cinema, fashion, jewellery, perfume, architecture and club life supplied the decorative framework. The owners introduced these as people who might have known such a hotel in the 1930s: fictional lives created for the design, rather than entries recovered from a guest register.[2][1]
A separate, documented artistic connection comes through Photo d’Hôtel, Photo d’Auteur. The programme invited photographers to spend a night in a hotel and respond with an image and a text. Its 2014 participant list places photographer Pierre Bayle at Hôtel Baume in November; the resulting work was included in the programme’s 2015 exhibition.[3]
