Hôtel de Buci places you among the cafés and restaurants of one of Saint-Germain’s lively streets. Inside, the mood follows that of a Parisian apartment, with a small lounge and winter garden offering places to pause between outings.
Its 19 rooms and five suites use rich colours, enveloping fabrics and furniture inspired by the eighteenth century. Room choice makes a difference: some look over rue de Buci, while others face the more sheltered interior courtyard.

An old Saint-Germain address, reshaped around a winter garden
Hôtel de Buci describes its home as an eighteenth-century building. Its decorative references also look to that period, with richly patterned fabrics and intimate, furnished rooms. The age of the building and the present interior are different chapters: the atmosphere visitors see today has been shaped through later renovations.[1]
A substantial chapter came in 2024, when the hotel renewed its shared spaces and part of its accommodation. Reporting on the work, L’Hôtellerie Restauration interviewed interior architect Paul Salas of CMPS and described the changes room by room. Twelve of the 24 rooms and suites were reworked, alongside the reception, lounge and new wellness spaces.[2]
The most revealing change was the breakfast room’s move from the basement to a new winter garden on the ground floor. Its curved glass roof brought daylight into a previously different arrangement of spaces, while the former breakfast area became a spa. The renovation explains how this compact hotel acquired the sheltered gathering places that now define a stay here.[2]
