La Belle Juliette pairs a Saint-Germain address with rooms inspired by Juliette Récamier. Its 45 rooms combine decorative fabrics, distinctive colours and contemporary furniture, with views towards rue du Cherche-Midi or the garden.
Garden Deluxe rooms look into the planted courtyard, while the suites add a separate sitting area. The Junior Suite has a sliding door between bedroom and lounge; the larger Boudoir Suite includes a living room and decorative marble fireplace.
The spa has a small indoor pool with hydro jets and a swimming current, alongside a hammam and treatment rooms. The garden, pergola and bar provide other places to pause after a day in the neighbourhood.

Juliette Récamier, remembered through rooms and photography
La Belle Juliette opened in January 2011 after the transformation of the Hôtel Ferrandi. Owner Corinne Moncelli, who acquired the earlier hotel in 2008, found her theme in Juliette Récamier’s life: her friendships, travels, literary circle and gift for bringing people together. The new hotel turned that biography into an interior design project.[1][3]
Récamier’s actual salon was at the Abbaye-aux-Bois on rue de Sèvres, where she lived from 1819 to 1849. Chateaubriand read passages from his Mémoires d’outre-tombe there. That gathering place belonged to another address and another century; the hotel on rue du Cherche-Midi is a modern tribute to its hostess.[2][1]
Decorator Anne Gelbard translated the theme into colours, fabrics and rooms evoking Italy, Madame de Staël and Chateaubriand. Contemporary art also entered the story. The hotel commissioned work from Elene Usdin, whose 2011 photography project used overnight stays in the group’s hotels to imagine women from the past through staged self-portraits.[1][3]
