About Hôtel La Louisiane

Hôtel La Louisiane has operated at 60 rue de Seine since 1823 and remains an independent, family-run hotel. More than 60 rooms are spread through a building the hotel itself describes as labyrinthine, with configurations ranging from singles and doubles to rooms and suites for groups. The atmosphere is simple and idiosyncratic rather than standardized.

Jean-Paul Sartre, Juliette Gréco, Miles Davis, and many other writers, artists, and musicians stayed at La Louisiane. Outside, rue de Buci, Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots, the original Shakespeare and Company, and the Seine make this one of the easiest addresses for a Saint-Germain trip.

Room category makes a visible difference. Double rooms begin around 14 square meters, while larger doubles, triples, quadruples, and suites add space for longer stays and groups. Every room has a private bathroom and high-speed Wi-Fi; breakfast is offered, but there is no hotel restaurant. Multiple staircases and narrow corridors mean the hotel is not accessible to travelers with reduced mobility.
