Met
A friendship documented on both sides. In 1937 Hemingway told Flanner that if a prize were ever given for the worst sportswriter in the western world he would see that she got it, over a piece she had written on bullfighting. Photographs from the liberation of Paris in August 1944 show the two at Les Deux Magots, both in United States war-correspondent uniform.
